A pouter-pigeon front is achieved through delicate smocking, overlaid with sheer bobbinet mesh and lace draped ruffles, while bishop sleeves, gently puffed and ruched, gather into fitted cuffs. The skirts fluid tiers boasts fine ruching at the waist and precise horizontal tucks on the front and back, defining the elongated silhouette and the subtle bustle. The hem is finished with a ruffled lace edge, a lovely trailing  train and is secured with a discreet hook and eye closure. A rare and stunning masterpiece of 1870s bridal couture.
