This stunning 1904 afternoon tea gown is crafted from a lightweight cotton batiste and features pink spot and eyelet embroidery, intricate lace insertions and delicate ruffles throughout. The classic high collar and fitted 3/4-length sleeves, beautifully compliment the pink silk rose-shaped bows that adorn the bodice, while the floor-length design creates a graceful asymmetrical silhouette. A truly rare and beautiful Edwardian era gown, deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, in Richmond, Virginia.
