1900s China Silk Charmeuse & Bobbin Lace Wedding Gown w/Trailing Train

1900s China Silk Charmeuse & Bobbin Lace Wedding Gown w/Trailing Train

This breathtaking 1908 wedding gown is crafted from China silk charmeuse and bobbin/chemical lace. The mono-bosom bodice features a softly pleated crossover design. A delicate yoke rises into a standing bobbin-lace collar, from which a scalloped lace flounce drapes the shoulders, embellished with hand-applied chemical-lace appliqué. Long bishop sleeves gather into matching lace cuffs, each accented with tasseled silk-chiffon bows. The high-waisted princess-line flows seamlessly into an elegant trailing train, closing at the back with lace-covered hook-and-eye fastenings. A stunning example of early 1900s bridal couture.

This timeless piece has been meticulously restored through our Immersion Restoration Process and is ready to be reimagined into your vision of perfection.
